A night in the life of our favorite little tornado
Miss Molly has been so funny lately and it is hard to capture it on camera because she moves a mile a minute. So tonight I decided to just follow her around with the camera and here is what I ended up with. Please don't mind the missing pants and only one sock, there was an incident with a cup of water.
Lately...
Here is what we've been up to lately...
Last night Cousin Jack and his parents came over to dinner. This is the only picture I got because it is really hard to get two 1 year olds to pose for pictures. It was a fun night, especially because this was the first time they seemed to notice that the other one was around.
Molly got bit twice this week at daycare. This is the worst one on her back. Molly's Gammy has already contacted Aunt Annie for legal advice.

My best friend from high school, Jordan, made the long trek up from Oklahoma to visit. She had a bad cold and was a trooper to make the trip. We had so much fun and miss her lots!

Go Hawks!
Yesterday we were lucky enough to get to go to the Iowa/Iowa State football game. We had a great time watching the Hawks beat up on the Cyclones (35-7) and want to give a special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa who let us use their tickets AND chased Molly around for the whole day so that we could go.
In front of the Hawkeye Equipment semi.
My favorite person to watch Hawkeye football with (unless they lose).
I was excited to see these guys, Keith Murphy and Andy Fales because I listen to their sports radio show everyday on my way to pick up Molly. I actually won a contest on their show a few weeks ago. The prize? 4 free oil changes, boring!
Herky out warming up the crowd.
My favorite part of the Iowa games are when they show the players and Kirk ferentz walking out from the locker room to the field while playing Back in Black. Gives me goosebumps everytime.
Here they come!
The ride home from the game was a bit rough. We went to pick Molly and cousin Stephanie up from Grandma and Grandpa's house and about 20 minutes into the trip Molly puked what appeared to be about 78 gallons of disgusting. I'm talking projectile out of the mouth and covering virtually every surface in the back seat. I quickly pulled over onto the side of the highway where we attempted to clean her and the car up with nothing but a package of baby wipes. It was awful! Poor Stephanie was such a trooper because it absolutely reeked in the car. Initially she asked us to call her a taxi, but eventually she settled in and slept all the way home. It was a stinky ride made worse by the fact that we got stuck in the traffic from a multiple car accident so ended up being on the road an additional hour and a half. What is normally a 2 hour and 15 minute drive ended up taking 4 and a half. While it wasn't the most fun experience, we somehow ended up being grateful that she threw up because it delayed our trip about 30 minutes and that is exactly when the bad accident happened. Strange the way things work huh?
Around the House
It seems like all of my recent blog posts center around a trip or an event, but some of our favorite times with Molly happen when we are just hanging out at home. See?
Trying desparately to get Harvey to play with her. So far he is safe on the top of the couch, but we won't tell him that isn't going to last.
Labor Day Weekend
We traveled to Wichita for the Labor Day holiday. It was a really fun trip and the highlight was meeting my cousin Molly's daughter Lyndy who was born on Nov. 9 of last year. She is so sweet! It was nice to be able to spend time with both my extended family and immediate family. Thanks everyone for making the trip.
This is true love between Aunt Annie and Molly because the sight/smell of bananas makes Annie gag and she let Molly sit on her lap to eat one.
Our attempt at a family picture...notice how funny she thinks she is?
Reading books with cousin Oliver
The newest member of the family, Gibbs. Mom and Dad adopted him a week before we all got there. Poor thing hardly knew what hit him.
Happy grandparents.
The not-so-newly weds. They just celebrated their one year anniversary and shared the top of their wedding cake with all of us over the weekend.
Molly loved this shopping cart and clearly wasn't in the mood to be disturbed for a picture.
It takes great restraint everytime we leave Wichita not to steal this guy and bring him back to Iowa with us.
Great Grandma Duck and 3 of her 4 great grandbabies. It was nearly impossible to get them all in a picture.
Lyndy and Molly making beautiful music.
Beautiful baby Lyndy.
Lyndy and Molly playing/watching Yo Gabba Gabba. This was after a long day in the pool, hence the red eyes and spacey stares.
I kept trying to get the perfect picture of all 3 of them, but there was always something more interesting to look at.
