The Iowa State Fair
Corndogs...an must have. It did not disappoint!
The Sky Glider
She loved it!
Every year there is a Super Bull chosen. Here are the winner's stats.
Wowza!
Looking at the sheep with Daddy.Overall we had a great time at the fair. Molly was a little young to get much out of it, but we went early in the morning so it wasn't very crowded and it wasn't too hot. She liked seeing the animals and my favorite part by far was our ride on the Sky Glider. Mike just about had a heart attack as he is afraid of heights and was convinced she would fall out, but she loved it. We rode over the crowds and she waved at everyone on the ground. It was a fun and special bonding time where she was forced to cuddle with me for at least 20 minutes!
Science Center of Iowa
Science Center of Iowa
Sticking her hands in the water exhibit.
Playing with the tennis ball thing (the official name). So the Science Center was kind of a let down. It was expensive to get into and Molly was really too young to enjoy it. They have a toddler room that I thought she would like, but she needs to be a little bit older (and taller). Oh well, it was a fun family day.
Around the House
Even though he doesn't make appearances on the blog very often anymore, Harvey is still a very important member of the family. Here he is just lounging in a rather odd position on the couch. The Splash Pad
(not the best pictures, but she looks so cute in her swimsuit!)

The Blank Park Zoo
I love the sea lions.
Trying our best to wait patiently for the sea lion show to start.
Checking out the animals from the comfort of Mom's lap on the train.
Ready for my train ride.

Ready for my train ride. The zoo was a fun family outing on a Saturday morning, but again Molly might be a little young to really enjoy it. It was better than the Science Center because she liked the train and it was fun to be outside but probably will be more fun next summer.
One more from around the house.
